At the beginning of every cycle we have the chance to rewrite our manifesto, recruit a new army. This work was created in March through October of 2008. This was an anxious, stressful period of time, both globally and personally - something old was dying and soon to be replaced. The Bush administration was coming to a close, its successor to be determined. I was entering my disorienting twenty-ninth year - astrologically known as “Saturn’s Return,” the point in which a person crosses over a major threshold into the next stage of life - rebirth just over the horizon.

The cast of characters appear throughout various corners of my Brooklyn apartment. No one leaves the nest! A home is where one destroys and creates their own rules. The troupe exists in the evening, caught under the camera’s flash. They represent a cellularly connected group of beings embodying freedom, the resistance of limitations, and the revelrous spirit born late at night when the party has overindulged.
A MISSION FANTASTIC is video, photography, and fresh adventures by Grant Worth and friends.
