CHERYL

I consider the tribe of CHERYL part of my creative family. I’m not an official member, but a consistent collaborator. CHERYL, the dance party that will ruin your life, is a semi-anonymous "artist collective and band of hand models based in Brooklyn, New York, specializing in creativity." I've participated in a profusion of CHERYL's video and performances including events at The Museum of Modern Art (NYC), MoMA PS1 (Queens, NY), The Jewish Musem (NYC), and nightclubs throughout  New York City.

PANTY PARTY

in collaboration with Debbie Attias, 2002 - 2006

What began as a few pants-less house parties evolved into a weekly, costume heavy performance incubator at a nightclub in the East Village. Every Saturday night at Opaline on Avenue A, Panty Party’s velvet rope and strictly imposed "pants check" inspired club goers to drop their pretentions as well as their trousers. Panty Party left the club in 2004, took their show on the road, and continued to explore the boundaries between nightlife and performance. Events took place at the Warhol Museum (Pittsburg, PA), Hotel Chelsea curated by Daniel Reich Gallery (NYC), the penthouse of the Raliegh Hotel (Miami Beach, FL), and on a pirate ship floating in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle during Miami’s Winter Music Conference.
